Styling your home for a new season brings fresh joy and life to your home. With a few simple changes usher in this new season and transition your home to fit with the rhythms of nature.
Now that Spring has well and truly arrived and the Spring Clean & Declutter has left new clarity and space it's time to turn to our interiors (*here's your reminder to Spring Clean & Declutter if you haven't yet found the energy!)
Read on for our tips to simply and easily transform your home this Spring:

1) Start by Spring Cleaning.
Spring is the season inspired by Mother Nature herself to bring renewal and fresh energy to our homes. Breathing new life into our surroundings. So starting with a thorough Spring clean is a great place to start!
Spring cleaning isn't just about getting rid of the clutter and stuff you've been meaning to throw out - it's also about bringing in the fresh air. Clean those windows, sweep those floors and hoover out the corners. Spring is definitely on the way!

& don't forget a good declutter is also good for the mind!
2) Make the most of your entranceway:
Set the tone right at the start of your home experience and create a welcome to your home ... & this is the important it ... not just for visitors but for yourself.
Imagine how lovely you would feel if your home lifted you up as you arrived home every day. So put the wintery doormat in storage and find a fresh new doormat to make you smile.
Add potted plants and a new Spring wreath to brighten up your porch and create an immediate connection with nature.

3) Update your hallway:
Create a warm and welcoming entrance to your home and have a console table with clever storage to collate & conceal items as soon as they enter the home.
A timeless vase filled with seasonal stems makes a pretty focal point on entry - pair with stacked books, a pretty decorative accent item and a tray for keys and change and you can easily hide the clutter of daily life and create a stylish first impression.

4) Introduce rustic texture and tones with accessories:
Introducing natural elements of wood, stone, wicker and other natural materials breathes life into your home by introducing the tones and textures of nature.
Adding these elements will enhance the feeling of bringing the outdoors in and add interest with their lack of uniformity, creating a more relaxed and layered feeling in your home.
Using woven baskets for storage is a great way to add texture an warmth and whilst it may seem counter intuitive to add items to a space to make it feel less cluttered. A few strategically placed baskets allow for a quick and easy tidy up before guests arrive - if you have kids - you know!

5) Decorate with nature:
Decorating with flowers is quick, easy and affordable and can have a huge impact on any room. If you're feeling stuck adding a simple jug of fresh blooms to the kitchen table can brighten up the space (& your mood!) immediately.
Spring brings us Daffodils and tulips, then hyacinths, transitioning into peonies as summer approaches these all require little flower arranging skill and bring the colours of Spring into our homes.

If you're a serial plant killer stick to cut flowers and add greenery with faux stems and succulents mixed with impossible to kill houseplants (think peace lily and mother in laws tongue as the first will tell you when it needs watering and the second can handle the harshest of treatment!)
Don't forget bud vases and pretty bottles filled with a single stem are still hugely popular and require zero skill at flower arranging!
Don’t just stop at flowers though – think about other natural items that can introduce colour and interest – artichokes grouped in a bowl look really pretty on the end of a kitchen island or use fruit grouped singly for maximum impact:
- For a zingy pop of yellow use lemons
- Add depth of tone with red apples
- Add a pop of Spring green with limes or green apples

6) Add floral & botanical accents:
Even if your home's decor is neutral, floral accents can go a long way in bringing the freshness of spring indoors.
Use them as a centre piece on your dining table or gather together a collection of vases and display them on an accent table.
Flowers are also a great way to bring colour into your home through pillows and patterned throws. At home we have a botanical print on the wallpaper which I fell in love with years ago and has been the basis for our living room styling.
Flowers can be incorporated in so many different ways that it would be impossible to list all of them here, but it's worth mentioning that they can easily transform any room into something unique and beautiful.

7) Swap out soft furnishings:
Inexpensive to switch soft furnishings to give an entirely new feel to your room – switch heavier brocaded cushions and pillows to linen and cotton offerings.
Change from faux furs and chunky knits to pastels and patterns & from chunky knit throws to lighter lined waffle weaves and cotton fringed throws. For your Spring table opt for linen and cotton tablecloths and pretty floral or ticking strip runners and napkins.

8) Embrace the Outdoors:
Blur the lines:
As we blur the lines between indoor and outdoors now is the perfect time to update patio décor, move the table closer to the window or doors to benefit from fresh air whilst sheltered from the showers.
Patio Prettiness:
If you have a patio area out there or just want to be able to enjoy some fresh air then don’t forget about this space when making changes around your home.
A few pretty pots on the patio filled with spring bedding will look pretty from inside as well as out.
Add a pretty birdbath to encourage the birds & hedgehogs to visit and add decorative items back once the frosts are gone.
